I’m a Sydney based senior independent corporate PR consultant, available to work across Australia on assignments that will benefit from my experience in corporate PR and communications.  I operate as an individual consultant who prefers hourly-based or project consulting assignments; however, in certain circumstances, I will consider short-term secondments.

During 30 years of PR agency experience, I’ve worked extensively within the corporate environment. I’m also the most prolific writer on PR in Australia; in 2001 I established PR Influences, and now have my own blog which provides commentary on matters directly relevant to PR directors and managers.

Often a new initiative or project needs a specific PR or communications strategy as part of the overall business plan. Frequently there is either a lack of staff resources to tackle the task, or it’s a short-term one-off exercise. With my experience I can come in and help put together a plan and either assist with its implementation or set up it up for implementation by others if that’s the preferred modus operandi.

Prevention is better than cure; that’s why having a proper crisis management plan in place is essential. I’ve developed formal ‘Crisis Management Plans’ and helped train and equip organisations to be better prepared to handle a crisis.
